Alright, my friend's got a Compaq Presario 12xx laptop. (unfortunately) Anyhow, here a couple weeks ago it started giving him problems with it's hibernate feature. And now a day or two ago it quit booting up at all. It'll get to the splash screen, and then just reboot. Unfortunately he's about 6 hrs. away from where I'm at, so I had to try and help him over the phone. I got him to delete entries for hibernate from his autoexec.bat file, but that didn't help any. Now it just gets to a point where it says "About to create hibernate file" or something like that... and then it reboots. Got any ideas?
