Ok , here's a little different " Hibernate " problem.
My friends girlfriend has a Compaq ( she was supposed to bring it to me but hasn't yet) and she says after starting it, running for a little while ( undefined amount of time as of yet) it makes a clicking sound and says it is going into " Hibernate" . Off the cuff I'm thinking its getting too hot, a bad fan or something? If she brings it by , I will give more info. She is not even sure of the OS so she is not much help.
