I have a Dell Latitude D505 bought for parts or repair. Before I begin to part it out, I would like to check on the problem with this unit. When you press the Power Button, all three (NUMLOCK, CAPSLOCK, and SCROLLOCK) lights on the panel light up steady for about 3 to 5 seconds. Then nothing. Can not even get to Bios Screen. I know that this is some sort of an error code because I have called Dell before on my daughters Laptop while under warranty, and after she had dropped it (luckily not that much of a drop) and the flashing lights told the tech that the RAM had come unseated. I have done a Google search and have searched the Dell Support website, but this information appears to be well guarded. Any help would be appreciated, as I would hate to start dis-assembling this nice looking Laptop if it's something easily repairable.
