vista to XP

Hi Guys,

I have acer am1640 workstation that came with vista home edition.

I can get drivers for all hardware component for XP.

My problem is that if I start installing XP it gets to point where it asks you to press F6 to load SCSI or Raid drivers and after it finishes loading files and starts the install process it blue screens.

I tried to hit F6 to install sata drivers but it tells me there is no floppy in the system. I bought USB floppy just for this purpose and it shows in bios but it doesnt get detected when installing XP.

I tried replacing the drive with new IDE drive and tried to start XP setup and same thing so its not the Sata drivers.

I have motherboard CPU RAM Power supply and formated drive what can be stoping me from installing XP ? Why it doesnt recognize the drive ?

Thx for your help !
