I bought the Acer One XP version this week for $350.00 at CompUSA, and thought I'd give every one a heads up. I need XP very seldom, but very seldom is more than never, besides it was a no brainier for me to pick the model with a 120 Gig HD rather than a 8 Gig digital drive. I intend to duel boot, and that means you need HD realistate. I had downloaded Limpus Lite thinking that I would have fewer compatibility issues since it was the Acer choice for Linux.
For what it's worth, I was pleased with usability of the netbook. I wanted small and it is.
But everything goes better with Linux, so I proceeded to modify.

After dividing up the HD (I've used various Linux destros for about 4 years), I installed Limpus, only to discover that it's GRUB doesn't recognize the XP partition, so you can't use Limpus for duel boot systems. Second issue, the web cam and WiFi doesn't work and I have not found the drivers for the Acer One running Limpus.

My next step is to install Ubuntu. I know its GRUB can find Windows partitions, and the documentation is available on how to make the Acer operate at about 90%.
