To be technical, the true original heritage of the Skyline was as a Japanese luxury car. Few people probably realize it these days, but the Skyline predates Nissan.

With that said, I still prefer the competing Mitsu EVO. Even in its stock form, the EVO retains much of its motorsports heritage. When it comes to heritage and original design, the EVO was essentially a WRC racer first and a road car second.
