I can see the idea of comparing the phenom to the core 2 because its popular, but i don't see this processor being outrageously cheap compared to the i7, maybe a few bucks. The farthest back i can remember i've never seen a processor lower than 300 dollars on there release date.
Phenom II... Maybe around $270-$280, anything lower, i would have to see it to believe it.
I'm more interested about the other advances, faster CPU is good an all but, will it support tri-channel? will it have a new socket? new chipset? will it support both SLI and crossfire natively. It was really the X58 chipset that sold me on buying an i7, i'm curious as to the rest of AMD's arsenal.
