Wireless network, problem and posible solution help

Yes, the problem's as confusing and complicated as the title.

Basicaly, ive been running a wireless network in my home for over a year now, never encountered any problems, untill yesterday.

The router downstairs decided to stop connecting to the internet all together, i cant connect to the settings (192.168.1.1), nor will it do anything other than realise im connected to the computer (its a D-Link DSL-2640B router).

So, guessing its broken, i contact a friend and borrow his Netgear one (DG834GT), hook it up, can access the settings (192.168.0.1), entered my username and password and it refuses to connect to the internet as well. From what i can see its not even detecting my DSL line, since i recieve no error messages, nor any form of conformation that it has been unsuccessful in connecting.

Ive changed all cables, and the only thing i can do is access the Routers settings. the Wireless network it's creating is working fine, i can connect to that from the other computer, it's just not connecting to the internet.

I try a third router (Safecom GWART2-54125), and the same problems, Creates a stable Wireless network, but no internet access.

I then revert back to my old wired modem (Speedtouch 330), and the computer successfully connects to the internet.

I've contacted my ISP (Demon Internet), and they supplied me with a list of settings i needed to configure, which were all correct allready.

So, i have a working internet connection through an old modem and a stable wireless connection running at the same time...but not a combination of the above.

So, have any of you the slightest idea why three different routers would seem to be finding the same problem?

Or, if that can not be answered, is there a way to bridge the connections between the two networks, meaning the wireless network could use the internet connection through the modem?

Aditional Information:

Internet Connection: ADSL 8mb/s internet connection
Location: UK
OS: Windows XP (this computer), windows Vista (remote computer)
