More computers and controllers for ABS, ASC, etc.

I wasn't even aware that BMW offered a V12 in the 7 series, let alone a 1991. Didn't know it was pushing roughly 300hp and 325ftlbs of torque, either. Sounds like a fun highway cruiser.

I've found my ticket for a very cheap & simple do it yourself paint job...Time consuming, but it's all prep and details that make a paint job so that's a given.

Welcome to EarlyXJ.com

I think I will go with a gloss black when I get to it. The only reason I'm going to do one is because my clearcoat is gone and every time I wash it(or it rains) more paint comes off. Due to this, it is starting to get surface rust in various locations, especially on the bed. Something I definitely do not want getting any worse.

My spray paint/rust converter jobs I've done in the past only seem to hold up for so long and are not worth the effort anymore if I can get it done.
