Wait a minute-- | The Union said the same thing when Hormel ran into trouble years ago . . . and when Hormel opened the books, the union claimed that they were "cooked". The union went on strike, Hormel hired and bussed in laid-off iron mine workers. The new workers went to work for Hormel at a reduced wage and a promise of raises when Hormel was back in the black. 3 years later, the workers were making more than the union workers wanted and the union wanted back in . . . didn't go over well for the union.
