Sorry i guess i should of provided more info. I am going to study engineering. in AUS it is all maths+physics 1st year then the next 3 have some CAD design and you specialise in a certian area. I have recently upgaded my PC for uni:

ASUS P5QL-E Motherboard
4GB ram
I have my old Graphics card Gigabyte 7600GT
My Grandma is going to buy me a laptop for uni, but i think she only wants to spend 700AUS.
I want to use the netbook/notebook for mainly taking notes, doing homework on the trainride home on weekends and maybe, some cad work not sure though.
There are tones of reviews on the net portraying how great the wind is over the Eee PC but i don't really like the look of it. If i was going to buy a wind i would probably buy a U120 when it comes out....
Any suggestion would be well appreciated.
