Yes i have added 3306 port for forwarding to my router's software.
Answer to GenericHelper:
I am tring to run MySQL server from my own machine. Both server and client are on my system itself. I am using a router of Following specification:
Manufacturer : Beetel
Model : 450 BX1
I was using a utility tool 'CurrPorts' to view the port details. And also used TCPView after your suggestion. Both say that MySQL server is listening to 3306.
Actually i m interested in doing freelancing projects. So i need MySQL for various purposes.
One point i want to make here. As i said both server and client are on my system itself would it still need to configure the router. Logically speaking in that case it means without an internet connection i cannot use MySQL. This is quite unacceptable to me. I strongly belive that there is nothing to do with router in this case.

Please HELP...!!!! thanx...
