Hey guys this is going to be my first build, my budget is under 1000 americano dollars, and yes i do have some experience with computers, im familiar with newegg(DUHHH), and no a have nothing from old rig to bring over except OS wich is XP. ill get straight to the point, as for a motherboard i have no idea what to get, all i know is i want it to last. CPU: everything ive heard seems to tell me to go with an intel core duo it seems promising with 3GHS and 3MB L2 cach.....CASE:no idea but would like good airflow and cooling......PSU:need help, but know it has to be good.....VIDcard: i know this important for gaming, and im not sure what to get, but i hear that nvidia is better with intel....harddrive: no idea but want at least 200 gigs..... RAM: im not sure what kind is better for gaming, but want at least 4 gigs, DDR2 is what i hear is best for your dollar
anyway i hope you guys can help me choose the right parts
i intend to play cod4 and games such as company of heroes and maybe crisis in the long run but anyway

THANKS!and happy new year
