I would either wait until AMDs new chips come out (should be a few weeks) or go with Intel for your proc. It's not that the AMD chip in question can't do the job, it's that you can get better performance for a similar price with Intel.
Yes, your graphics cards could probably handle 2009 games, but again for that price, you could get better performance with something else, like the ATi 4850s. | how about a Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 Dual-Core Processor, 3.16 GHz, 6M L2 Cache, 1333MHz FSB, LGA775
and a Diamond Viper 3870X2PE31G ATI Radeon HD 3870 X2 PCIE 1GB GDDR3 Dual GPU Engine Graphics Card
(this one card would be replacing both 9800 GTs)
between the two upgrades it would only cost about $110. what do you think?
