Question
Fix new laptop myself and void warranty? Need advice.

I purchased a CS series Vaio 2 weeks ago (today is my last day for a return/exchange at best buy). The minor issue is one with the fan - it has a small buzzing noise whenever it starts to spin up and once again after it has spun down. My guess is that something is just hitting the blades, like a wire perhaps and is easily fixable. The problem is also widespread, with every CS owner posting on forums noting the issue saying theirs has it too, so I'm weiry on exchanging my otherwise perfect laptop that I got a sweet deal on.

I want to open up the case and look around, but Sony says there's a "security seal" that will void my warranty if broken. I don't see a seal anywhere and am not sure what this is.

Should I send it back to Sony and perhaps PAY them to fix the issue? The issue is so minor that it's not a huge flaw, but is a minor annoyance. It seems like a simple fix too.

What should I do? I really need a laptop so I'm wanting to ideally fix this one and be done with it. Advice? Thanks.
