I assume by your post were talking about a BestBuy, "housebrand" router...
Am I correct?
I'll be honest, I've replaced ALOT of Dynex components over the years...
They are pretty weak from what I've seen.
I personally would return it and get something a little higher quality.
But if thats not an option...

Remember that the all three components, (Modem, router and PC) should be off...
Then you power up the Modem and give it several minutes to configure itself.
Then turn on the router and wait several minutes for THAT to configure...
Then turn on your PC.

What OS are you using?
