Gateway laptop speakers aren't working

I own a Gateway MX6440 laptop that was dropped and broke the LCD. I replaced it and it's working great except that the internal speakers aren't working. I know the audio driver is working fine because I can use USB external speakers or headphones and the sound is great. Does anyone know where the speaker connector is on these? I find it hard to believe the MB is damaged because everything else is working great! Is there a connector that could have become unplugged with the drop? Thanks.

Also, is there a place that has a diagram showing how to remove the laptop case to get to the MB?
