You sure that isn't a Core 2 Duo? I've got an E1505, which I am pretty sure was sold same time as yours and it has a C2D.

If you look around for coupons you should be able to get it for quite a bit less also.

It has the option for a 9 or 6 cell battery as well, I would guess that those (at least the 9) stick out a bit from the laptop. I'd call in and find out since nothing is mentioned on the battery section.

Actually, from the specs that 13" should be quite a bit faster than your E1705, except for the graphics card.
