If the computer has been added to the domain and the user has logged onto the lappy while on the network (the same one as the DC - Domain Controller) then it should cache the user's credentials and then they can log onto the laptop when they aren't in the office.

If they don't want to use the same "domain" account when they are at home, then they would need to have another "local" account set up. The problem with this can be that the user will get a different when they go from one to the other - some users can get a little confused when they say that they've saved something to their "My Documents" for example...


With regards to the "Secure Logon" option, if this wasn't set before the computer was added to the domain, then it would have been set by the "Group Policy" - which (on Windows 2003 SBS servers at least) is to have it set to require the "three fingered salute".......
