Laptop suggestions...?

Hi,

As some may be aware, I've recently had two laptops turn into large paperweights - and they now need to be replaced...

I'm currently only interested in getting one replaced, and have a budget of £400 (MAX) to get the laptop. I've already got the OS and applications that I would need, and would be looking to upgrade RAM later if required, so mainly want advice for the CPU/deal side.....

I don't want anything smaller than a 15" screen, and it should have the standard wireless and DVD playing capabilities.

I've had a little experience with Acer laptops, but have found them lacking, but otherwise the best ones I have spotted (without knowing so much about the CPU side) are within

Unexpected error occurred - Tesco.Direct (don't know why it says about the error - the link works for me, from the preview)

Buy Laptops at Argos.co.uk - Your Online Shop for Computers and laptops. - (16 products)

As a guide, one of the dead ones was an HP Pavillion DC1000 (I'm sure Karma's got the specs from way back!) and the other was a Packard Bell "EasyNote" - the latter was fairly long in the tooth though...! Both had been running with 2 GB of RAM.

Oh, and I need to be able to have in time to take somewhere on Monday, so a few of the delivery options might be ruled out....

Any suggestions (etc) greatly appreciated...
