I'm no expert, but doesn't a standard 2 hour movie fit on a 4.7 gig DVD? Maybe a little less cuz of the extras and languages and subtitles etc. So, 2 hours on 4 gigs?

4 gig times 60 = 240 gig drive
60 times 2 hours = 120 hours of recording time (or 5 days @ 24/7)

I know one setup a few years back with a dual VCR that had 2 endless tapes in them. They just kept recording over and over on the 2 tapes. Furthest back you could go was 48 hours if you pulled tape 1 before tape 2 hit the end of it's loop.

I imagine computer software could do the same given disk space...record Mon, Tues...Sun...then wipe out files and re-record Mon, Tues etc. Would have 7 days of history at any give time.
