I would like to change my HD in my Ubuntu machine, but unfortunately the replacement is an IBM Deskstar, and the Hitachi sight doesn't have a utility for this as far as I can see.

Is there a program for Ubuntu that will let me do this without a complete install?

I'm not new to Linux, but am far from an expert, especially with text interface.
