ok, this is weird to explain because it doesn't give an error message..the file just plainly stops working.
For example, when you normally right click on your jpegs inside folders, you'll see a menu open up that gives you the following:
Preview
Edit
Print
Preview
Refresh Thumbnail
-----------------------
Rotate Clockwise
Rotate Counterclockwise
-----------------------------
Set as Desktop Bkgrd
Scan
Open with >

Smart FTP
Add to Archive
Compress & Email
Winzip

Email with Yahoo

Send To >
-------------------------------
Cut
Copy
---------------------------
Create Shortcut
Delete
Rename
---------------------------

Now, when the error happens and the jpeg gets all strange and everything, instead of getting the above menu, I can only get 'some' of the menu if I right click on it, which are as follows:
Preview
Edit
Print
Preview
-----------------------
Rotate Clockwise
Rotate Counterclockwise
-----------------------------
Set as Desktop Bkgrd

You'll notice that it gets rid of any way to edit it...like DELETING it...which is so weird. Also, it won't let you move it, so I can't drag it to the recycle bin. I'll remind you again, this doesn't give me an error message and this doesn't happen that often, but every once and awhile Windows will just decide to kill an image file of mine in one of my folders rendering it unusable, yet still visible (you can see the jpeg icon, just no preview of the image like before)
Not sure how to give you any other info..this is all i can provide...
