It makes perfect sense, even though i was initially shocked by it. her enemies are bringing charge after charge after charge on her, and she's spent gobs of time and money defending them, and NONE of them has been found to be of ANY merit.

her political and ideological enemies have used the courts to tie her hands as governor, to be a financial drain.

The National Organization for Women is infuriated at the treatment of her... unsubstantiated charges being brought against her as a tool of removing her power - they're just IRATE at that and the mockery of her by the media and pop culture, and they're sick and ... oh wait... they're an ideological opponent as well. I guess NOW doesn't really represent women, but rather just another front of an ideology.

Her points in her (actual, non-teleprompter) speech were dead on. She had been pulled away from the duties of the office by all of these unsubstantiated lawsuits, and alaska was suffering for it. She and her family have been attacked and mocked almost daily. What's a mother to do?
