Thanks for the replies, it is a HP nc6400 laptop. I paid $700 for it.
Core 2 Duo 2Ghz T7200 processor
1Gig Ram
100gig hd
and according to the seller 512mb graphics card.
.............to boot there is 1 red dot on the screen that I didn't notice when I bought it.......

Btw,

When you say it can't use the extra 384mb why is there an option to use it then? Can it not utilize it?

I feel so ripped....
