The media Center is playing DVD movies, although is often hesitant to start.

However, there is a continual problem with the boxed set of the X-FILES which has 9-years of the series and 4 episodes per disk.

It seems that Windows Media Player has made a playlist of all the episodes (!) when I tried to use that to open one disk.
I am wondering if it is looking for the media on the hard drive instead of the DVD-drive.

When I try to play an X-Files episode, I don't see the LED for the DVD drive.
also, even with movies sometimes when I request that Media Center open the DVD, it starts to look for Pictures instead..

I',m going to install another DVD-player with SW and see if that helps. Sometimes the DVD player seems erratic in speed. Also, I kept postponing adding a GFX card so long as I wasn't using this computer. Maybe its time. The Monito is 1920 X 1200 native and the integrated accelerator won't cut it.
