I have a Sony DRX-510 UL external drive that was working. I upgraded Vista and now the drive reads CDs only and can't recognize a dvd. Any one has the solution?

I took the drive out from its casing and installed it directly in the computer with SCSI cables. The computer recognize it and it still reads CDs only.

I think the issue is with the drive and its drivers rather than the OS. Unless the OS is refusing to acknowledge it as a DVD reader / writer.

Appreciate your help.
