You can still get boards with the AMD 760 North Bridge, but as far as I know, they are all "hybrids" that use the VIA South Bridge.
If you don't like the VIA chipsets - take a look at the nVidia N-Force chipset boards, or the SIS 735 chipset boards. Those are both great platforms to build on.
