Peoples, i don't think you a getting what avicus is asking.

He is buying a LAPTOP. They offer laptops with MOBILE P4's & the also offer laptops with standard/desktop P4's in them. He wants to know the difference between the mobile & the standard models of the P4.

Well thats the way i read what he is asking anyway.

I think the only difference feature wise is that the mobile P4's offer speedstep (or wotever intel calls it), which basically means when your using the battery it will actually slow the CPU down to a slower speed to reduce the drain on the battery to make it last longer. While the standard/desktop P4's run at full speed all the time.

Apart from that i don't think there would be much difference. Mhz for Mhz they should perform about the same (e.g. a mobile @ 1.6 would perform the same as a standard @ 1.6)
