ok, i took my Hard drive out to write down the numbers & such.
It is the model : D740X-6L

But anyways, as i took it out and set it aside, i heard something rattling around inside of it.
I REALLY don't know if that's normal or not. Certainly doesn't seem like it should be.

Do you think i should bother with the powermax disk check utility Maxtor has on their website first?
