And what are heat spreaders and die protectors? | There is like another chip on top of the chip. the core chip is in the center of the cpu on topside, so when you place a hs/fan ontop of this and if its not put on correctly you can crush the core of the chip easily thus damaging the core of the cpu whhich makes it useless keychain.
a heatspreader is like a heatsink only it spreads out the heat from the cpu.
die protectors not sure, but common sense tells me that it is a protecoter to prevent from accidently crushing the core. |
