Thanks man I'll try that. I don't think it's the keyboard. I tried using another ps/2 keyboard and restarted with it and nothing as well. If it was a different keyboard shouldn't it have started the add new hardware? Then again if it's the port then why did it work when the floppy was in the computer and it said to remove the non bootable disk and press enter. I pressed a bunch of other buttons before hitting enter and it just kept repeating so I know it's getting thru, but when it gets to the windows screen bam the lights on the keyboard go out and nothing after that. I'll try what you said though thanks
