I recently built a new PC and it is working fine, except .... when booting the machine, it hangs sometimes leaving the HDD light on.
I also get "System failed VGA test" message (sometimes) or "System failed due to CPU over-clocking".
I reported the problem to ASUS, and they recommended to flash their version 1004 Bios (beta version ). That didn't help.
Then they suggested to do following:
"Please re-assemble your machine in a pure environment (remove unnecessary components out, just leave motherboard, power supply, CPU with cooler fan, video card and memory, without computer housing) to see if the problem occur."
That didn't help either.
I am sure that the VGA card is good (I used it for years on my previous machine) and I tested the memory separately (I have two 512 MB sticks).
The problem always occurs.
Anybody has an idea??? Thanks
