I just had a DiamondMax do exactly the same thing to me, and until I found this forum I was going insane since I had no idea what was going on! Thanks for the info guys.
One more question though...
From what I understand if I hit the drive it jolt it back to operation.
Now will maxtor replace the srive? I mean it will seem like it working fine won't it?
