Hey pb,

Waiting to download XFree86 when I get a minute at work. As Whisper said it looks like lots more work in getting the system well setup than getting the basics up & running

Still hunting for the kernel option that stops me getting drive_seek errors on my Abit Kt-7 (I found it the other day but have lost it now

).

I am thinking of giving Debian a try at work next week. I am using an apt wrapper for rpm's at the minute but it is buggy & not much use over my 56K line (think I will do an ftp install of Woody over works 2 Mbit link
