My alarm clock wakes me each morning. She lies beside me in the bed and thumps me when the alarm goes off.

Seriously. I can't hear an alarm clock unless it's so loud it rattles my bed. Without my hearing aids, that is. And I don't sleep with them in.

I have to get up earlier than the wife, so it works fine. Then she rolls over and goes back to sleep until the second alarm goes off for her.
