You would prefer to escape reality to go to that stuff? You prefer an environment of killing as opposed to spending that same duration being peaceful and teaching respect in real life?
Why not? We go to movies all the time to escape reality for an hour or 2? People go on vacations to relax and escape the daily grind of life. Why not do it interactive?
Maybe I am reading it wrong, but when I personally escape reality, I don't go looking to kill anything or anyone, virtual or otherwise. I don't go on vacation to pump lead into people. And the movies I watch don't really have a ton of gore. I like fantasy games because of the fantasy, not because I get to snipe people or whatever.
I like sex tho. I think IMO I'd rather my child watch R rated movies because they are sexual, rather than violent. But then again being sexual and being violent are both part and parcel of being a human being, we can't control ourselves too well in either regards.
