Voltages spikes

Hello everyone,

lately, I have been recording extreme voltages spikes. The monitor software that came along with my asus motherboard would at times, pop up a warning saying that I am below threshold. Can someone enlighten me about the plausible causes of such event.

12volt probe would drop down to the 3 volts region
5.5 volt drops to 3
3.3 volt decreases as well
A Vcore signal which under normal circumstances is in 1.8 volt will drop to 0.88volt

I would also like to know where are these standard measurements usually taken on the motherboard. (i.e across which chip or components). I can't really trace these events to any particular actions taken.

Thanks a bunch,

Tony
-I've attached a word doc with a screen capture of the monitoring software
-Could this be a case of not having enough power off the supply box?
