i have the whole thing in german so it could be wrong

START -> System Settings -> administration -> Services there is a list from programs that run, ran or can be run

just find your game in there (those without descriptions arent windows programs, but be carefull what you stop and disbale!) then right click your game -> Settings and set Starttype (or whatever it is in english) to manual or even disable it!
