IF you don't want to upgrade and want to stop having to deal with M$ shenanigans I suggest never10, While I had no problems running never10 YMMV. I didn't know GRC had a utility out for that. I have been using GWX Control Panel from Ultimate Outsider: Using GWX Control Panel to Permanently Remove the 'Get Windows 10' Icon , and it has been solid for me, so far.
