Angry AHH it doesnt matter how to fix it! why is it happening!

Isass.exe - system error The specified Domain did not exist

We deployed 102 laptops to our staff at the start of this year, in the last month I have had 2 with the above error (SP1) and in the last 2 weeks another 4 laptops (SP2) with the same problem.

    Cant use safe mode
XP CD repair doesnt solve it

Am going to try some of the fixes in this forum now

BUT, ok there may be a fix, but what about a prevention ???

    This is not a virus!

    lsass.exe with mouse

I have a logitech MX700 cordless optical mouse. Error box would come up when booting up into Windows XP, lsass.exe - requested service can not be performed, something like that. I've seen the error on another PC as well (that doesn't have the MX700, just a regular mouse)
anyway, it might be hard to believe, but I just unplug the mouse, unplug the PC, turn on the power while unplugged to, ummm, I don't know, drain a charge or something on the mouse port, plug the computer back in, boot up without a mouse, error is gone, shut down, reboot with mouse, everything is fine.

tried this lots of times and this is how I finally get it to work. maybe the undrain part isn't necessary, seems pretty odd to have to do that
