hey do u guys know what this is? I accidently got rid of the screen shot but pretty much this thing that looks like a windows messenger box pops up saying that windows:xp, 95, 98, and 2000 are all at risk and that i need to click "here" to fix it. Looks kinda sketchy to me so I X'd out of it...I will try to get another screen shot. I went to the microsoft site and searched it and it didn't come up with anything...BTW in the thing it says that like people can hack your computer or something like that if u do not download this patch thingy. I would think that it would be in one of the updates and not in a pop-up. Once again it is

sounds bogus...for any windows update, you should click on the 'windows update' menu option or type www.windowsupdate.com directly in your browser. |

You should kill the windows messenger service
start --> run ... type 'services.msc'
Double click "Messenger Service" or somethinhg like that and DISABLE.
It offers nothing but a spam collector.
You should also get a personal firewall to avoid other internet traffic www.sygate.com
