| Swapping my old HD into new PC
OK, I've got a PC at work that is configured just the way I want it. I just got a new PC that is faster and newer. However, I don't want to reload my software or reconfigure the new PC.
What's the odds that I can just swap the harddrives and have Windows XP boot and load all the new drivers properly? I'm not concerned with licensing because we have corporate key codes.

So you want to swap the HD from your old computer into your new computer? Before you do this remove the drivers, then swap it, allow windows to detect all the hardware and then put the new drivers on. |

What would happen if I don't remove all the drivers first? |

well if your old video or motherboard drivers are on it when it loads up with the new hardware, there can be problems. It's just a precaution. |
