    2000 server ad migration

I have a single domain/single AD server setup that I am replacing the hardware and I want to migrate AD to pull in the group policy and user accounts so I don't have to rebuild them. What else do i need to do after I install AD on this box and let it replicate? Migrate Schema Master, FSMO roles, Global Catalog? I really do not want to rebuild this domain.

why don't you just build a 2nd box as a domain controller in teh same domain, then once the directory is replicated run dcpromo to demote the original DC?
That should give you the option to give the new DC the FSMO roles etc.

Make sure to research dcpromo to know the ups and downs of the process.
