Great idea and thanks. Unfortunately, there appears to be a bug in it. (Go figure ...a bug from MS) It says that I do not have IE 5.01 or greater installed and will not install the MBSA V1.2.
I have IE 6.0.

Don't feel alone there Dave.
It's telling me I don't have directx 9.0b and I do. In fact both Belarc Advisor and the MS Update page seem to thing I have it.
Then again my free MS Security Update CD I got the other day is telling ne I don't have W2k SP4 installed either. And as above, Belarc and MS Update say I do.
Ohhh, the insanity!Last edited by nomaxim; April 3rd, 2004 at 02:43 AM.
Well, if crime fighters fight crime and fire fighters fight fire, what do freedom fighters fight? They never mention that part to us, do they?

Cannot find it at the moment. It was for a free MS Security Update CD from MicroSoft. Took about 5-6 weeks to get mine, you had to sign up for it.
It was like HAPPY DAYS, MS sent you something for free.
About the only use I have found for it is when you do a clean install. You can use this disk to update to the latest patch's (Feb 2004) before you connect to the internet. Protects you from MSblaster and such.
MSblaster is a worm that only needs internet access to infect your comp. Some people have done a fresh install and picked this up before they could do the update's!

Thank you for the swift reply. As far as I can tell there is no NVidia graphics card pre-installed. The system is an every-day-machine intended for Photoshop related work as well as light 3d...
Does any graphics card work on any...
