My Compaq Armada 1750 laptop wont boot up?

good morning,

I have a compaq armada 1750 that i have installed windows 95 on. I go ahead and format the hard drive then put windows 95 on it. It seems to want to accept the OS but when I boot for the last time I get a "error reading disk" and "remove disk from floppy drive" message..any one experience this?

thanks

Are you using the Restore disk that came with it?

If you don't have it then try to get one from somebody else....if you use Restore, it should fix any problems with the MBR and it's gonna reformat the hard drive automatically. Plus it will install Win95 for you also.
In other words it would put your computer just the way it was when you got it from the manufacturer.

It's the easiest way...

Did you FDisk the drive, too? If you removed any of the partitions you'll have to create new ones before you can use the laptop for anything.
