SequoiaView http://www.win.tue.nl/sequoiaview/
SequoiaView is a disk browsing tool based on the principle of treemaps, with one unique feature added, namely Cushion Treemaps, invented by Jack van Wijk. The principle is simple: each time a rectangle is subdivided, ridges are added. The result is a pattern of hierarchical cushions that show the structure in the directories and files. The user can set the height of the ridges as well as using lower ridges for deeper nested levels, offering a choice between displaying global information (high level directories) or detailed info such as individual files. The user can also choose between the original cushions and the squarified cushions.
Files and directories can be selected, inspected and opened, but can not be modified directly. Users can define different color schemes to facilitate identification of certain file types or load a ready-made color scheme from disk. Files can be filtered on name, size as well as creation, modification or last access date or any combination of these.

One I like for windows when I run windows :
Windows Privacy Tools (WinPT) is a collection of multilingual applications for easy digital encryption and signing of content.
It's GnuPG-based, compatible with OpenPGP compliant software (like PGP) and free for commercial and personal use under the GPL. http://winpt.sourceforge.net/en/download.php

If you want to explore freewares (love 'em!) go to www.freewarearena.com and download their freewarebook (and browse the site!).
Everything on my computer are freeware except for my win98se, avg7 (I think it's free now), and winzip.

thank you,
sb | A torrent is a type of download file, a P2P-type thing that allows good use of bandwidth for file sharing. Some software vendors prefer using torrents to share their software. Azureus is a great torrent sharing app!!
Cheers

I cant believe that no one has mentioned opera yet.
Great browser, fast with lots of features like tabbed browsing, mouse gestures, and eliminates the need for popup blocking software as you almost never get them using opera.
