i've been given lots of advice on here as to good programs that are free so i thought i'd open a thread and everyone could post free programs they like, along with brief descrips, i'm hoping i might find some from you all post, et cetera, mine are simple, and their ones that you all told me about http://irfanview.com/ a good photo tool for working with batches

Also: SpywareBlaster Great Spyware preventer program. Mozilla Great free internet browser. Mozilla Firefox Great free internet browser. Practically same as Mozilla, only smaller in size. Stand alone browser. BitTorrent Great torrent client. RegScrubXP Great registry cleaner for Windows XP.

Both WinZip and WinRAR arent freeware programs. They are only available as trials. That doesnt make them free, since after a period of time you will have to buy the software. Most people think these programs are free, but they arent.

I believe they are evaluation programs for a period of time. I am not sure since ts has been a while since I tried them out. But entering both of the official sites of those products I know they arent free.
