XP User account problem

I am using XP home and I am set up as the admin. I have three adult children that use the computer and set them up as limited. When they are set as limited, they can not gain access to the Internet. If I change them to Admin. then they can access the Internet again. Is there a way to make a limited account and still allow Internet access?

Welcome to TechIMO I hope you like it here.
You may have to run the New Connection Wizard for each user. You have to log into each user account first. It is in Start->All Programs->Accessories->Communications.

That should work. If they need more access than a limited account allows you can also add them to the Power Users group in the Users control panel. That would give them almost all the privileges of an administrator except they wouldn't be able to take ownership of files and delete protected files. Pretty much everything else is available to them as a Power User. To add someone to a group you need to right click on any 'My Computer' and select Manage. Maximize the window and click on the ‘+’ beside the Local Users and Groups. Click on Groups. Double click on Power Users after you have read the description of the contents. Click on Add. Click on Advanced. Click on Find Now. Scroll down and select each member that you want included in the Power Users Group. After you make each selection click on Add. After making your entire selections click on Ok until you are out of the submenus. Close the panel and switch to one of the other user accounts and see if the problem is solved.

This apparently didn't work for ChevyQC. Are there any other suggestions out there?

power user rights are fine. just go to start, settings, control panel, administrative tools, computer management, local users and groups, users and give power user rights to both users. admin rights arent neccessary unless you want them to be able to install/remove apps. etc.
