where is recovery
how do i get to recovery console to fix missing ntldr

You have to boot with the XP CD to get into the Recovery Console. There is a command you can do within XP (the run command and some filename) which will install the Recovery Console on your system.. but everytime you boot XP it will be a choice in the bootloader.

i cant boot with cd have put it in when turned it back on and wont work

at the moment i have two hdd c: wich is the local drive and has system label and a new drive g: which is boot drive it will boot with both drives plugged in but want to remove the c: drive that is when i have problem

You might need to change the settings in the bios to put cd-rom before the hd in the boot order

you have to change your boot sequence in your BIOS in order to boot from the CD.

i tried and it went to recovery asked which windows to do and then froze. then when i reset it came up missing ntldr.
only works with the old drive as master and new one as slave
